| Q & A: |
| |
| Question: What is OEM? |
Answer:
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) ink and toner cartridges
are the same ones that come with your laser printer. They
are generally manufactured by the company that makes the
printer. |
| |
| Question: What is a compatible cartridge? |
Answer:
Compatible/Refurbished/Remanufactured Ink and Toner Cartridges are previously used Ink
jet cartridges or laser toners which have been restored
at a third party company (not by the original manufacturer).
With these compatibles the empty core or shell of the
cartridge is reused to rebuild the cartridge. For the
toner cartridges, the most important part of the cartridge,
the OPC drum is usually replaced with a brand new part.
All other components are usually replaced with brand new
parts. The final products are then put to a rigorous quality
testing in order to meet or exceed the quality of the
same product offered by the original equipment manufacturer.
At tonerfair.com our compatible products are backed by
a 100% satisfaction guarantee. |
| |
| Question: Does recycling help the environment? |
Answer:
Although it is impossible to completely stop the cycle
of adding cartridges and toners to the waste stream, we
can try to cut down by using the recycled/compatible cartridges
and toners. More than 300 million plastic cartridges and
toner shells end up in our landfills and landfills all
around the world every year according to industry sources.
Every cartridge that is rebuilt and reused is one less
going to the landfills and one less that needs to be produced,
hence saving energy and contributes less pollution to
our environments. |
| |
| Question: Are prints from the compatible
cartridges have a lower quality than the original cartridges. |
Answer:
Like with any other product, different quality levels
exists here however, that does not mean that only printer
manufacture’s cartridges can provide the quality
you require. Many of our compatible products conform to
high quality standards and will provide such quality that
will match or exceed our customer expectation. You owe
it to yourself to check out the benefits that compatible
cartridges can provide for you and your business. |
| |
| Question: Will using a compatible or
remanufactured cartridge void my printer warranty? |
Answer:
No. According to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement
Act, printer manufacturers cannot void your warranty because
you use a cartridge or refill kit manufactured by someone
other than the printer manufacturers themselves. |
